Application:

HFC-227ea is a clean, safe fire-fighting agent with excellent fire suppression properties, designed for use in total flooding automatic extinguishing systems. The HFC-227ea Automatic Fire Extinguisher Series is ideal for protecting and combating fires in engine compartments, both on land and at sea.

This automatic extinguisher series can be used in various applications, such as trucks, small boats, large vessels, computer rooms, motorsports environments, and engine plant rooms. It is suitable for Class A, B, and C fires and is also safe for use on live electrical fires.

One unit must be installed per compartment to ensure complete protection, with the protected volume specified by the extinguisher's extinguishing agent. Optionally, a low-pressure warning switch can be fitted to the sprinkler valve. This device continuously monitors the extinguisher’s pressure and, if the pressure drops below 10 bar, activates a signal to an alarm unit for immediate attention.

Important Usage Notes:

HFC-227ea should not be used on fires involving the following materials unless they have been tested and approved by the relevant authority:

• Certain chemicals or mixtures, such as cellulose nitrate and gunpowder, capable of rapid oxidation in the absence of air.
• Reactive metals, including lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, titanium, zirconium, uranium, and plutonium.
• Metal hydrides.
• Chemicals prone to auto-thermal decomposition, such as specific organic peroxides and hydrazine.
